3.8 VIC ROTATING INSTRUCTIONS
(TRANSPORT AND NONTRANSPORT
MODE)
WARNING: PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD:
WARNING: When the VIC is not in use, do
not leave it in a recline position.
WARNING: When transporting patient, the
patient should be placed in a fully upright
position with chair in low height.
WARNING: The patient should never be
transported when the VIC is in a recline
position.
3.8.1 Mode Definitions
Transport Mode
The VIC is in transport mode when the green
arrow by the seat lock knob is aligned with the
green arrow on the base, circled in red in Fig.
3.8-1, and the seat is locked, as shown in Figs.
3.8-1 and 3.8-2.
Nontransport Mode
The VIC is in nontransport mode is when the
seat has been locked 90° counterclockwise
from transport mode, as shown in Figs. 3.8-3
and 3.8-4.
WARNING: Nontransport mode is to
be used only for performing clinical
procedures.
