Purging Fluid Supply System
Follow this procedure before:
•
the first time material is loaded into equipment*
•
servicing
•
shutting down equipment for an extended period of
time
•
putting equipment into storage
*
Some steps are not necessary for initial flushing, as
no material has been loaded into the system yet.

Press Standby
on the Operator Station.

Attach solvent supply lines.
5.
Adjust the solvent fluid supply pressure. Use the
lowest possible pressure to avoid splashing.
6.
Remove the Smart Fluid Panel cover to access the
solenoid valves.
7.
Purge component A side.
WARNING
Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, page 38. Engage
trigger lock. If you are using a high pressure gun,
remove spray tip and clean separately.
WARNING
If using an electrostatic gun with a gun flush box, shut
off the electrostatics before placing the gun in the box.

Single color systems: disconnect the compo-
nent A and B fluid supplies at the flow meter
inlet, and connect regulated solvent supply
lines.

Multiple color systems, disconnect only the
component B fluid supply at the flow meter
inlet and connect a regulated solvent supply
line.

Single color systems: press
the manual override button on
the Dispense A solenoid valve
and trigger the gun into a
grounded metal pail.
