Service

Removing the E5CK Temperature
Controller

To remove the E5CK temperature controller, which
replaces the E5CS controller, perform the following
procedure:

WARNING

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD

Do not open the electrical control panel,
unless you are a trained professional.

Before opening the control panel, make sure that
all power has been removed from the control panel.

1. Check to ensure that main electrical power is

turned OFF.

2. Check to ensure that the system CONTROL ON

switch on the control panel is turned to OFF.

3. If required, perform the following steps to remove

the defective the E5CK controller from the control
panel (Fig. 34).

a. If applicable, remove the snap pin that secures

the terminal cover on the E5CK controller.
Remove the terminal cover (Fig. 35).

b. Remove the mounting screws from the adapt-

er on the E5CK controller.

c. Disconnect the wires from the E5CK controller

terminals.  Label each wire to match the con-
troller terminal numbers.  Fig. 36 shows the
rear view of the E5CK controller.

d. At the front of the control panel, squeeze the

flexible retainers on the sides of the controller.
Pull the controller from the control panel.
