Cleaning
ATTENTION!

Burn hazard attributed to hot device parts and accessories!
Let the device and
accessories cool off each time before you clean them.
❐
Danger of electrocution!
Each time before cleaning the device, pull the plug out of the
socket. Never submerge the device, the mains cord, and the plug in water. Never place the
device in the dishwasher.

When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage the sur-
face. Do not use any metallic objects.
1. Take the frying basket out of the device.
2. Siphon used oil into a suitable container and dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly
manner.
3. Clean the container and frying basket with hot water and a mild detergent.
4. Wipe the device housing off with a clean, damp cloth.Then dry it off thoroughly with a
dry kitchen cloth.
5. If necessary, open the
fi
lter cover on the device lid. Remove the
fi
lter. If necessary, wash
the
fi
lter out with clean water and then let it dry completely before putting it back in
place. Then close the
fi
lter cover.
6. Allow all parts to dry off completely before you store them in a clean, dry place that is not
accessible for children.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself
fi
rst. Otherwise contact customer service.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
Potential cause / solution
The device is not work-
ing.
• Is the plug properly connected with the socket?
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse for your mains connection.
• Have you set a cooking temperature?
The food has not been
evenly cooked.
• Did you try to deep fry different foods with different cooking
times all at once? If you would like to deep fry different foods,
make sure that the cooking times for the different foods are
similar!
• Was the cooking time too short? Increase the cooking time!
• The frying basket is over
fi
lled. Reduce the quantity of food.
