There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To avoid health risks, clean
the inside of the housing and the frying basket thoroughly before

Risk of food poisoning: Never store the cooking fat or oil longer than indicated by the best
before date.
Setting up and connecting the device properly
❐
Keep children and pets away from the device and packaging. There is a danger of injury and
suffocation!
❐
Only use and store the device out of the reach of children. The mains cord may not be ac-
cessible for children. They could take hold of it and pull down the device.
❐
Only use the device in enclosed areas.
❐
Always set up the device with adequate space on all sides and above it to prevent the ac-
cumulation of heat.
❐
Always place the device on a dry, level, solid, and heat resistant base.
❐
Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to
prevent damage to the device.
❐
Do not use the device when water or other liquids are nearby in order to avoid the risk
of electrical shock. Set up the device so that there is no risk of the mains cord and plug
coming into contact with water or other liquids.

The device should never be set up and used when highly
fl
ammable materials are nearby
(curtains, textiles, etc.).
❐
Never use the device on a stovetop or if a gas source is nearby.
❐
Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains volt-
age must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper extension cords,
whose technical data correspond to those of the device.

Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. The cable may not
hang down from the set up area to prevent the device from being pulled down. Never pull
on the mains cord in order to move the device.

Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces, including those of the device.
❐
Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐
Store the device in a dry place at temperatures between 0 and 40 °C.
