Safety Instructions
■
This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply
with the relevant safety precautions.
■
Children must not play with the device.
■
Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by chil-
dren, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
■
Children younger than 8 years of age must be kept away from
the device and the connecting cable.
■
Caution: hot surfaces! Only hold the hot device by the
handle. Avoid contact with the surface of the device
during operation or shortly afterwards. It gets very hot!
■
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
when it is left unattended and before cleaning it.
■
Use the kettle only with the base station provided. Do not use
the base station with other devices.
■
Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note the MAX marking on
the water level indicator!). If the kettle is over fi lled, boiling water
could escape from the pouring spout.
■
Do not make any modi fi cations to the device. You may not re-
place the mains cable yourself. If the device, the connecting
cable or the mains plug of the device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department
or a similarly quali
fi ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order
to avoid any hazards.
Risk of Injury
■ Warning of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging
material.
■ Beware of the risk of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation! Avoid
coming into contact with the steam rising up from the pouring spout. Do not open
the lid during the boiling process. Allow the device to cool down before
fi lling it again!
■ Beware of the risk of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation! Pour out
boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the device too quickly.
■ Do not move the device during the boiling process.
