6.1. DCF-GPS ANTENNA

Install away from interference sources such as neon lights, computer screens, etc..
6.1.1. DCF Antenna
Réf : 3D6 (four meters cable included)
Receipt frequency: 77.5 kHz

Install the antenna vertically, then rotate it to get
a flashing of the indicator at the rhythm of one flash per
second and an extinction every minutes (in theory, the
antenna has to be positioned facing the direction of the
transmitter located near Frankfurt in Germany).

The antenna must be placed outside the building
to optimize the radio signal reception.

If reception conditions are right, the receiver time
setting requires less than 4 minutes.

If the time setting would not be done after fifteen minutes, it is
recommended to look for another location..

The antena must be placed outside and at the top of the building so as to get the wider
possible reception angle.

Any building or rise superior to 5 degrees above the horizon line may
screen one or several satellites thus reducing the antenna’s performances.
