This appliance is designed only for domestic use and it is

not intended for industrial use. Use the appliance for

processing the usual household quantities of food.

The appliance is maintenance-free. The instruction

manual describes several models of the appliance.

References to particular models are marked separately.

Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place and if

the appliance changes hands, pass them on to a new

owner.

Sets the slicing thickness (0 to 15 mm).

Safety instructions

A Risk of injury

The appliance may be connected and operated only in

accordance with the specifications on the rating plate. Do

NOT use the damaged appliance or the damaged power

lead.

Do not let the children use the appliance.

After using the appliance, if it is left unattended or if the

appliance is faulty, ALWAYS disconnect the power lead

from the mains socket. Do NOT pull the power lead over

sharp edges. To prevent injury, any repairs such as

replacing a damaged power lead, should only be carried

out by customer service.

Worn-out appliances must be made unsuitable for further

use.

Instructions for disposal

Consult your dealer or inquire at your local authority in

regard to the most appropriate method of disposal.

This appliance is marked according to the

European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste

Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

This guideline is the frame of a European-wide

validity of return and recycling on Waste

Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Operating the appliance

Before using the appliance for the first time, clean it

thoroughly.

Preparation

• 

Place the appliance on a flat, clean surface.

• 

Insert the power lead plug into the mains socket.

• 

Attach the carriage (5) and rest end holder (8) to the

appliance housing.

• 

Set the desired slicing thickness (1) (0 to 15 mm).

• 

Low adjustment range provides narrow slicing (e. g.

for salami, ham).

Switching the appliance ON/OFF

Risk of injury by the sharp blade

When the appliance is switched OFF, the blade continues

rotating for some time. Do not touch it with your hands!

In case of power supply interruption, the appliance

remains switched ON and will start running again when

the power supply is restored.

WARNING!

The motor may overheat

After a maximum of 5 minutes of continuous use, switch

OFF the appliance and allow it to cool down.

Pulse operation:

• 

First press the safety lock (2) and hold it, then press

the ON button (3) until the appliance starts. Release

the safety lock (2).

• 

To stop the appliance, release the ON switch (3).

Continuous operation:

• 

First press the safety lock (2) and hold it, then press

the ON button (3) until it locks into position. Release

the safety lock (2).

• 

To stop the appliance, press and release the ON

switch (3).

Slicing

Gently press the food to be sliced against the stop

plate and slowly slide it against the moving blade.

Do not operate the appliance without the carriage and rest

holder unless absolutely necessary due to the shape and

size of the food.

After using the appliance

• 

Set the slicing thickness to 0.

• 

Slide the carriage towards the blade into the end

position and lock it with the slide switch (6).

After slicing greasy food (e.g. meat, sausages, 

cheese):

• 

The appliance and especially the blade should be

cleaned immediately; (see section "Cleaning").

Cleaning

Risk of injury from sharp blade

Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the power lead

plug from the mains and remove the blade. Do NOT grip

the blade by the cutting surface, but by the blade

attachment.

Risk of electric shock

NEVER immerse the appliance in water or place it under

running water.
