3. Troubleshooting
Most issues in audio systems are result of poor or wrong connections, or improper control settings. If you encounter problems, isolate
the area of difficulty, check the control settings, determine the cause of the fault and make the necessary changes.
1. Will my TV work with GoTV?
If your TV does not have a coaxial or optical Toslink S/PDIF digital audio output, it will not work with GoTV. The GoRave GoTV
Audio Sender requires stereo PCM audio from your TV’s digital audio output. Refer to the audio specifications below in Section 4.
2. How to turn TV speakers off?
Change your television’s audio settings to output two-channel (stereo) digital PCM audio via its S/PDIF port. This should switch the
sound playback from the TV’s built-in speakers to the GoTV Audio Sender. However: not all TVs behave this way. Some don’t even
allow you to turn off the built-in speakers. Refer to your TV’s user manual for details.
3. Where to place my GoTV for best results?
Review section 2.3 for the best information about mounting your GoTV Audio Sender.
4. How does GoRave function when more than one Audio Sender transmitter is paired to a receiver?
When set to All Play Mode (indicated by red LED on the receiver), GoRave receivers will play from the first Audio Sender that
transmits sound. If a second Audio Sender is transmitting, the receiver will not play it until the first Audio Sender stops transmitting.
5. How to stop a GoRave Audio Sender from transmitting?
Audio Senders stop playing and drop their wireless bond with the receiver when they are powered off or when they stop sensing
audio input for five seconds. Turn off your TV or unplug the USB power to stop your GoTV from transmitting.
6. When I mute GoTV, will the GoRave receiver play audio from another paired transmitter?
GoTV will hold its wireless bond with the receiver and continue transmitting even if you mute the TV. The receiver will understand
that you’ve muted the audio and turn its volume to zero. To drop the bond and stop transmitting from the GoTV Audio Sender,
power the TV off.
