7.
When you see chemical exiting
Valve #3
into the hose, slide the
pH Controller
Switch
to “OFF”.
8.
The
Chemical Pump
is primed.
Priming the Main Pump - Closed Vessel Descaling
1.
Close all the valves on the unit (
Valves #1, #2, and #3
).
2.
Remove the top of the
Venting Drum
and fill halfway with water or
ScaleBreak®
(about 8 gallons, 30 L).
3.
Connect a recirculation hose to
Valve #3
(Pump Output Valve) and to the input
of the vessel being cleaned.
4.
Connect the other recirculation hose to the venting drum and to the output of
the vessel being cleaned.
5.
Open
Valve #1
(Venting Drum Valve) and
Valve #3
(Pump Output Valve)
6.
Make sure the valves on both recirculation hoses are open.
7.
Water/descaling solution will flow from the
Venting Drum
to the pump and
flood the input of the pump.
8.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the water level in the
Venting Drum
is always
above the elbow at the bottom of the
Overfill Level Sensor
(about 5
gallons, 19 L minimum).
9.
Replace the lid on the
Venting Drum
.
10.
Main pump is primed.
11.
230V version only - If this doesn't work on the 230V version, the unit will have
to be forced prime. This is done by connecting the chemical pickup hose to a
water supply, and having it force fluids into the pump.
IMPORTANT: Valve #1 (Venting Drum Valve) must be OPEN for proper operation with
a closed vessel-type system.
Priming the Main Pump - Open Vessel (Bath) Descaling:
1.
Close all the valves on the unit (
Valves #1, #2, and #3
).
2.
Remove the top of the
Venting Drum
and fill halfway with water or
ScaleBreak®
(about 8 gallons, 30 L).
3.
Connect a hose to
Valve #2
(Pump Input Valve). Make sure hose valve is closed.
4.
Open
Valve #1
(Venting Drum Valve) and Valve #2 (Pump Input Valve).
5.
Open the valve on the hose. When water/descaling solution exits the hose,
close the hose valve.
6.
IMPORTANT:
The hose connected to
Valve #2
(Pump Input Valve) must be full
of water for proper operation!!!
7.
Connect a hose to
Valve #3
(Pump Output Valve). Make sure hose valve
is closed.
8.
Open
Valve #3
(Pump Output Valve).
9.
Open the valve on the hose. When water exits the hose, close the hose valve.
10.
Close
Valve #1
(Venting Drum Valve).
11.
Place both hose valves into the open vessel (bath).
12.
Open both valves while the valves are submerged.
13.
IMPORTANT:
Both Hose Valves must always be submerged for
proper operation.
14.
Replace the lid on the
Venting Drum
.
15.
Main pump is primed.
IMPORTANT: Valve #1 (Venting Drum Valve) must be CLOSED for proper operation
with an open vessel bath-type system.
