The IGMP Proxying function lets a LAN PC receive the multicast traffic it is 
interested in from the Internet. If you do not need this function, you can clear the 

Enable IGMP Proxy

 check box to disable this function. 

After finishing the settings, click the 

Submit

 button to apply the settings. 

 

6.4.10.2 IGMP  Snooping 

IGMP Snooping is used for multicast management and control. When the Ethernet 
switch of the second layer receives the IGMP packets transmitted between the host 
and AP, IGMP Snooping will analyze the packets to establish and maintain the 
address table of the MAC multicast, and then the routing multicast packets will be 
transmitted according to the address table of the MAC multicast.

In this page, you can enable or disable the IGMP Snooping function. If you disable 
the IGMP snooping, the multicast packets will be broadcast in the second layer. 
After finishing the settings, click the 

Submit

 button to apply the settings. 

 Note: 

The IGMP snooping is enabled only in the bridge mode. 

When IGMP Snooping is disabled, the multicast packets are transmitted to 
the each interface of the bridge. 

After enabling the IGMP Snooping, the multicast packets are only 
transmitted to the member interfaces of the group.
