SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

13

WARNING

: When using any appliance, always exercise basic safety

precautions, including the following:

Use the refrigerator only for its intended purpose as described in this User
Guide.

This refrigerator must be properly installed and located in accordance with
the Installation Instruction illustrated in this User Guide, before it is used.

Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grip
plug firmly and pull straight out from the wall socket after switching off the
supply.

Repair or replace immediately all electric service cords that have become
frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or
damage by abrasion, rodents or other means along its length or at either the
plug or refrigerator end.

Do not splash water on or in the vicinity of the refrigerator. It could cause an
electrical leak or malfunction.

Do not allow children to climb, stand or hang on to the door or shelves of the
refrigerator. They could damage the refrigerator and seriously injure
themselves.

After your refrigerator is in operation, do not touch the cold surfaces in the
freezer compartment, particularly when hands are damp or wet. Skin may
adhere to these extremely cold surfaces.

Don’t refreeze frozen foods which have thawed completely. Eating such
refrozen foods could be dangerous. Even partial thawing and refreezing
reduces the eating qualiy of foods, particularly fruits, vegetables and
prepared foods.

Unplug your refrigerator before cleaning and making repairs. We strongly
recommend that any servicing be performed by a qualified technician.

Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours and liquids in the
vicinity of this or any other appliance. Do not use flammable sprays such as
lacquer and paint near the refrigerator.

Never store explosives and chemicals inside or near the refrigerator as they
could explode.

Do not use any lubricants (lubricating oils, sprays, kerosene, WD-40 etc.)
on the hinges of the refrigerator doors. Some lubricants chemically react
with plastics resulting in damage to doors.

Perfume bottles, deodarant spray or any evaporating liquid could easily
evaporate and be harmful as lids, caps and valves are not leak proof. Hence
do not store these in a refrigerator. Nail polish remover and thinner are also
dangerous.

The ventilation grilles should not be obstructed. Always ensure that there is
good ventilation and that the outward flowing air is able to escape.

Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartment of the
appliance unless they are recommended by Godrej Appliances Ltd.

Do not damage refrigerant circuit.

Do no tamper with the electrical circuitry of the refrigerator.
