BATTERY CHARGER SPECIFICATIONS
The IC Series Inverter/Charger is equipped with a PFC (Power Factor Corrected) and PI (Proportional Integral) multistage battery
charger. These 2 features maximize the real power from AC Shore Power. The multistage battery charger can use up to four
different charging stages to help monitor and keep the batteries healthy.
Bulk Charging:
This is the initial stage of charging. While bulk charging, the charger supplies the battery bank with controlled
constant current. The charger will remain in bulk charge until the absorption charge voltage is achieved.
Absorb Charging:
This is the second charging state and begins after the absorb voltage has been reached. Absorb charging
provides the batteries with a constant voltage and reduces the DC charging current in order to maintain the absorb voltage setting.
The factory default setting for absorb charging is 2 hours. After 2 hours of absorb charging, the charger switches to final charge.
Final (Float) Charging:
The third charging stage occurs at the end of absorb charging time. While final charging, the charge
voltage is reduced to the final charge voltage set point. In this stage, the batteries are kept fully charged and ready if needed
by the Inverter. The final (float) charging stage reduces battery gassing, minimizes watering requirements, and ensures the
batteries are maintained at optimum capacity.

Equalization Charging:
The EQ charging is used to stir up stratified electrolyte and to reverse any battery plate sulfation that
may have occurred. The EQ charging mode can only be used with the GP-IC-Remote, sold separately by Go Power!.
