ATTENTION
•
Risk of electric shock! DO NOT OPEN! There are no user serviceable parts inside!
•
ALWAYS disconnect this unit from the power supply before doing any assembly or cleaning, before replacing the light
bulb or before moving the electric fireplace.
•
• NEVER use this heater in bathrooms, laundries or any other place where the heater could fall into a bathtub or
swimming pool, become wet or come in contact with water.
•
NEVER install this heater directly under an electrical outlet.
•
NEVER use this heater if the power cord or plug has been damaged or if the grounding is damaged or missing.
•
Place the heater near a wall outlet so that an extension cord is not needed. If an extension cable is required, the wire
cross section must be at least 14 AWG and the rated power must be at least 1875 Watts. NEVER use a smaller cable with
a lower rating. This could result in fire or electric shock.
•
Avoid the dangers of resetting the thermal cut-out switch. NEVER control this unit with a timer or allow it to be on an
automatically shut off circuit.
•
Use this heater ONLY on a 220 ~ 240 Volt 15 Amp grounded circuit. NEVER overload the circuit. If this heater trips the
circuit breaker, disconnect all other appliances on the same circuit before next use. Avoid connecting other appliances in
the same circuit as this heater.
•
NEVER plug this heater into an old, cracked outlet or one with loose wires or connections. Plugging this heater into a
faulty outlet could cause electric arcs inside the outlet that could overheat the outlet or catch fire.
•
ALWAYS check the heater cable and connections each time you use it!
i) MAKE SURE that the plug is properly inserted in the socket! Incorrect wall outlet connections or loose outlets can cause the
outlet to overheat.
ii) Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating can occur even if it did not occur with the use of other
appliances.
iii) During use, check frequently to see if the outlet is HOT!
iv) If the outlet is HOT, discontinue use immediately and have a qualified electrician inspect and / or replace defective outlets.
