Electric Convection Heater

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Operation

1.  Plug the heater cord into a standard

grounded 120-volt AC outlet. Operate

heater in the upright position with

rubber feet on the floor. The plug must

fit tightly into outlet. A loose fit will

cause overheating and damage to the

plug. During normal use, the plug may

feel warm.

2.  Turn heat selector knob to the “LOW”

(600W), “MED” (900W) or “HIGH”

(1500W) setting.

3.

Turn the thermostat knob clockwise

(right) until knob stops. The heater will

begin heating. At “LOW” (600W) the fan

does not operate. At “MED” (900W) and

“HIGH” (1500W) settings, the fan will

blow warm air.

4.  When the room temperature reaches the

desired comfort level, slowly rotate the

thermostat knob counterclockwise (left)

until the heater shuts off. At this setting,

the heater will automatically cycle on

and off to maintain this temperature.

NOTE:

Do not force the knob beyond

its normal stopping position. Only minor

adjustments to the thermostat should be

necessary to maintain the desired comfort

level. Turning clockwise will increase the

room temperature and counterclockwise

will decrease the temperature.
5.

To conserve energy, the heater may

operate at lower wattages by turning

heat selector knob to the “LOW” (600W)

or “MED” (900W) settings.

6.  When heater is not needed, turn control

knob to the “OFF” position. Then

remove the plug from outlet.

7.  This heater is equipped with Tip-over

switch. When the heater is tipped over,

the unit will shut off.

To Reset Over-Temperature Control

This heater is equipped with a built-in

over-temperature safety switch that will

turn the heater off if overheating occurs. To

reset the heater, turn control to OFF, then

remove the plug from outlet. Wait until the

heater has cooled and the condition that

caused the overheating is corrected. The

safety switch will then be reset.

Before cleaning, make sure that:

1. The heater is turned OFF.
2. Disconnect power supply at source by removing plug from power outlet.
3. Your heater is now ready for cleaning.

Regular Cleaning:

1. Do not use cleaning products or chemicals to clean the unit.
2.  Dust inside the heater can be removed using a vacuum cleaner with

a crevice tool attachment.

3.  To clean enclosure use a clean, soft lightly dampened cloth to gently wipe dirt from the

surface of the unit. Be careful not to wet the heating element and switches. Allow the

unit to dry completely before using it.

CAUTION: do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could

cause a fire, an electric shock hazard and damage the unit.

1. Perform the cleaning procedures described in “Cleaning/Maintenance”.
2. Wipe all parts until dry.
3. Pack the heater in a plastic bag and store in a cool, dry place.

IMPORTANT

THIS HEATER IS FOR FLOOR USE ONLY.

This heater comes with a grounded (3 blade) plug for 110-120 volts AC.

The grounded plug must be used with a grounded outlet. Do

not use an adapter in a 2-slot wall outlet unless the ground plug

of the adapter properly connects to a building ground. Using

heater without properly grounded outlet or adapter could result

in an electric shock hazard.
