Electric Convection Heater

  1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
  2.  This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let

skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as

furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3

ft. (0.9 meters) from the front and top of the heater and keep them

away from the sides and rear. Ensure a minimum clearance of

5.5 inches (14 cm) from both sides and rear of heater to adjacent

walls. Keep the rear grille away from walls or drapes so as not to

block the air intake.

  3.  Extreme caution and supervision is necessary when any heater is

used near children or pets and when the heater is left operating

while unattended.

  4.  Always unplug heater when not in use. To disconnect, grip plug

and pull from wall outlet. Never pull cord.

  5.  To disconnect the heater, turn controls to “OFF”, then remove

the plug from the outlet.

  6.

Do not operate a heater with a damaged cord or plug. Do

not operate a heater that has malfunctioned, been dropped or

damaged in any manner. Return heater to an authorized service

facility for evaluation, and repair.

  7. Do not use outdoors.
  8.  This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry

areas and similar indoor locations. Never place heater near

a bathtub or sink.

  9.  Do not run cord under carpeting, throw rugs, runners or similar

floor covering. Keep cord away from high traffic areas to avoid it

being tripped over. Route the cord so that it will not be walked

on, or pinched by furniture.

10.  Connect to properly polarized outlets only. Check heater voltage

and amperage on the back of the heater to make sure it complies

with local electrical service.

11.  Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation

or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire or

damage the heater.

12.  To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in

any manner.

13.  Use this heater only as described in the manual. Any usage not

recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical

shock, injury or damage to property.

14.  It is normal for the heater’s plug and cord to feel warm to the

touch. A plug or cord which becomes hot to the touch or

becomes distorted in shape may be a result of a worn electrical

outlet. Worn outlets or receptacles should be replaced prior to

further use of the heater. Plugging heater into a worn outlet/

receptacle may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.

15.  Ensure the heater is on a stable, secure floor surface to eliminate

the possibility of it tipping it over.

16.

Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into an appropriate

receptacle. Receptacles deteriorate with age and continuous use

so periodically check for signs of overheating.

17.  Check that the heater or power cable have not been damaged

during transportation.

18.  Make sure that pieces of polystyrene or other packaging

materials have not been left between the heating elements of

the heater. Clean with a vacuum cleaner if necessary

19.  When turning on the heater for the first time, you may notice a

slight odor which is normal with new electrical appliances. Allow

odor to dissipate by running the heater at full power for about ten

minutes. Make sure that the room in which the heater is located

is well ventilated during this operation. This heater draws 13

Amps during operation. To prevent circuit overload, do not plug

the heater into a circuit that is shared with other appliances

20.  Do not use in locations where the heater will be left unattended

for long periods of time.

21.  Do not use attachments or filters. They are not recommended.
22.  This appliance is not intended for use by children.
23.  Always plug heater directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.

Never use with an extension cord or power strip.
