REMOVAL OF THE ENGINE
General informations:
Since there are different types of drive, the stages
described here refer to those shared or similar in all
types of engine.

Remove the exhaust guard (8) and disconnect the
accelerator cable control and all the electric cables.
Remove the clip (9), unthread the pipe (10) from the
fuel filter entry (11) and empty the tank completely,
suitably saving all the petrol it contains and be-
ing careful not to leak it in the work area
.
Identify and undo all the screws that fasten the engine
to the chassis, then carefully lift and remove the
engine using equipment suitable for the weight of the
engine (about 35-45 kg) and the designated lifting
points to guarantee safe working conditions.
NOTE
Some types of engine can be fixed with screws of a
different length and in a different position, so it is ad-
visable to mark them, to prevent errors on reas-
sembly.
For reassembly follow the operations described abo-
ve in reverse.
Reassemble the spacer (7), with the countersink fac-
ing the engine.
Ensure that the pin (12) is inserted in the groove in the
clutch (2) and remember to replace the spring (4).
Fully tighten the engine and pulley fixing screws to
the prescribed values.
Remember to replace the fuel pipe fastening
clamps and
check that there are no leaks
.
