After unpacking, it is recommended to save the shipping
carton and packing materials if the instrument must be
stored or re-shipped. Inspect the equipment and packing
materials for signs of shipping damage. If there is any evi-
dence of damage, notify the transit carrier immediately.

2.1 Location
2.2 Mounting
1. Locate the flowmeter within 2000 ft. (609 m) of where the
GLI impeller flow sensor is to be installed.
2. Mount the flowmeter in a location that is:

Clean and dry where there is little or no vibration.
➥
Protected from corrosive fluids.
➥
Within ambient temperature limits (14 to 122
°
F;
-10 to +50
°
C).
CAUTION: MOUNTING THE FLOWMETER IN
DIRECT SUNLIGHT MAY INCREASE THE
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE ABOVE THE MAXIMUM
LIMIT.
Figure 2-1 illustrates the various ways to mount the flow-
meter using the supplied hardware and optional vertical
pipe mount hardware. Determine the mounting method and
attach the hardware as shown in the respective illustration.
Refer to Figure 2-2 for flowmeter installation dimension de-
tails.
