CHECK OF LAN STRUCTURAL CABLING
Verify the LAN structural cabling according to ISO 11801 or EN 50173. Make the verification
measurements using certified meters.

Important!
All VERTEX control unit which are to make up one system should be in the same structural network.
CHECK OF DALI COMMUNICATION BUSES
Note!
Absolutely make sure there is no 230V on the buses. Such voltage can damage DALI devices and is a
possible health and life hazard.
Verify according to the following steps:
•
Absence of 230 VAC on the DALI port
•
Check the number of devices connected to the bus
o
Maximum number of devices on a single port: 64
•
Verify electrical connections
o
No short-circuits on buses
o
No connection between buses
o
No loops on a single bus
•
Verify voltage on each DALI bus
o
Voltage should be in the 9.5
– 22.5 V range
•
Verify current consumption on each DALI bus
o
Current con Sumption should be < 180 mA
Important!
The VERTEX control units facilitate the DALI bus diagnostics by signalling problems on ports by status
LEDs or by messages in the application. More information can be found in the section
8. Troubleshooting .
GSM CONNECTION C HECK
Verify the SLS LED is lit (solid). If the LED flashes with a frequency of 1 Hz (once per second) and the
antenna attached to the set is correctly connected to the GSM-M port, contact to the ES-System
dealer and order an external GSM antenna.
ADDRESSING THE LUMINAIRES ON THE BUILDI NG DRAWINGS
Emergency luminaires and back-up basic luminaires are delivered with serial number labels. Each
number should be marked on the building drawing along with the luminaire operating mode (TA or
TC). The design addresses on the building drawing shall be paired with luminaries serial numbers by
means of the design addresses table.
