Interconnection
A Gigaset T300 PRO / Gigaset T500 PRO interconnection is the linking up of several
Gigaset T300 PRO / Gigaset T500 PRO PBXs at various locations. A prerequisite for the
interconnection is that the locations are connected via virtual private networks (Site-to-
Site VPN recommended) or static IP addresses with the appropriate firewall
configurations. This is necessary as the interconnection depends on unfiltered IP
communication between the various locations.
Location details
Give the location an appropriate and unique name within the group. The name can
contain letters, numbers and underscores (umlauts and ß are excluded).
The
Prefix
field requires a number that prefixes the internal phone numbers of the PBX
within the group. The purpose of this is to avoid overlaps in internal phone number ranges.
Example
: Two PBXs (A and B) both have internal numbers from 10 to 99. PBX A is given
the prefix 3 and PBX B 4. If a user from PBX A calls the user with the phone number 10 on
PBX B using a function key, the system automatically predials the prefix 4, meaning that
410 is dialled.
Important
Port 3090 must be enabled for TCP via the integrated firewalls for the interconnection.
Important
Only leave this field blank, when it is assured that all PBXs in the group have separate
phone number ranges. In the case of overlaps or conflicts in number ranges, each PBX
in the group gives priority to its own internal phone numbers.
Caution
If a PBX has 1 as its prefix, this will overlap with the internal numbers 10 and 11 and
with the emergency numbers 110 and 112! Emergency numbers are always given
priority. This means: If you dial 110 or 112, you will always be connected to the
emergency services.
