Operating the answering
machine
If your base provides an answering machine,
operating via handset is possible. For further
information see the user guide of your base.
The handset loudspeaker activates
auto-
matically
if you receive an acoustic prompt
or message while operating the answering
machine. You can switch it off with the
speaker key

Playing back messages/
memos
Message indication
The message

key flashes as soon as a
new message
arrives in a the list.
In
idle status
, the display shows an icon for
the new message.
Playing back new messages
To play back all messages and memos:
Press and
hold
this key.

Press the message key and press

Play Messages
If there are new messages, playback begins
with the first new message. After the last
new message you will hear the end tone and
an announcement.

Playing back old messages
You can listen to old messages if there are no
more new messages. Begin playback as
described in the user guide of your base.

Use the control key to select the
message you want to be played
back.
After the entry time and date have been
played back (after approx. 3 seconds) a new
message assumes the status "old".
Stopping and controlling playback
During message playback:

Press the display key. The play-
back is paused.
§Continue§
Press the display key to con-
tinue. The message currently
paused is replayed.

Press the end key to stop play-
back.
When the answerer
machine is activated,
the symbol

displayed at the top
of the screen.
The number of
new
messages/
memos is dis-
played under the
corresponding
icon.
