Operating the answering machine
(Gigaset C810 A only)
The answering machine can be used to
record incoming messages or memos.
The answering machine is operated via the
keys on the base, the handset or by remote
operation (from another telephone/mobile
phone). You can record your own announce-
ment message. You can also record memos
(only on the base).
The maximum recording time is 30 minutes.
A maximum of 59 messages can be
recorded.
The date and time of each message is logged
and displayed during the playback. If Calling
Line Identification is activated, the caller's
number is displayed.
Answering machine mode
You can use the answering machine in two
different modes.

In
Answer & Record
mode, the caller
hears the announcement and can then
leave a message.
u
In
Announce. Only
mode, the caller hears
your announcement but cannot leave a
message.
The answering machine mode can only be
set via the handset,
Operation via the base
The following keys on the base are used to
operate the answering machine:
Activating/deactivating the
answering machine

Press the

key to activate/deactivate
the answering machine.
When the answering machine is activated:

The LED on the

key lights up.

icon is displayed in the symbol
line.
Please note
If the answering machine is being oper-
ated from a handset or if it is recording
a message, it cannot be operated from
the base.
