2.3 VLAN Setup
If you want to setup the VLAN function in the 24-port switch, press 2 at the
MAIN MENU where it says “VLAN Setup”. At this screen, the user will be
able to freely add or remove ports from VLAN groups. For example, now we
will try to add port 2 into VLAN group 2. In order to do so, first we will press 2
in the Enter Port Number area. Then 2 again in the enter VLAN ID Number
area. And finally, “A” in Add or Remove area.
There will only 4 VLAN groups allowed. It will be up to the user to decide
which port goes into which VLAN group. It is also allowed to have identical
ports to be multiple VLAN groups. If any change is made, the screen will
refresh and display the new configuration. In this case, VLAN2 should have
both port 1 and port 2.
