Performance Verification

This section describes how to test the GT-1000B to verify that it meets Giga-tronics specifications.
The overall operation of the GT-1000B Microwave Power Amplifier is checked using a broadband signal source,

power sensor, and a power meter.
The test setup is shown in section 4.2.2. The procedure starts on the next page.

Equipment and Materials

•

Signal source:

Giga-tronics 2520B with Option 18, Microwave Signal Generator,

covering 100 MHz to 20 GHz, or equivalent

•

Power meter:

Giga-tronics 8650A/B Series Power Meter or equivalent

•

Power sensor:

Giga-tronics 80323A, 1 Watt Power Sensor or equivalent

•

30 dB attenuator:

Weinschel Model 74-30-12, 50 Watt Attenuator or equivalent
