CAUTION:
After every limit stop intervention or electronic protection, the rack moves
in the opposite direction for about 1-2 mm. This is normal; it is needed to release the
mechanical parts and to give the right compression to the seals ensuring that the
mechanical parts last longer.
12. PROGRAMMING THE ACTUATOR
After having made all electrical connections and before putting the actuator into operation, it
is necessary to perform the functional parameters learning procedure; this operation is
defined as
R
ESET
.
The actuator has been tested individually in the factory, its operation is guaranteed and it is
already programmed to make the maximum opening stroke. During the first installation or
during
R
ESET
, or if the actuator has lost its basic settings, the internal memory recognizes
and stores - fully automatically - the installation and operating parameters including the
distance between sash and frame.
The position difference between the projecting part of the window and the frame is called the
“step”
(see § 12.3)
and, in the learning phase, it enables the actuator to acquire the limit stop
parameter when closing. It occurs the first time the actuator completely closes the window
or following a
R
ESET
operation and remains stored as an operating parameter.
On the left side of the gearmotor there is a screw cap that must be removed to access the
dip-switch. At its side there is also the indicator led that is used to define the errors and
addresses of the various machines.
Programming is user-friendly, immediate and possible at any time.

the actuator is operating, the parameters are implemented and the
stroke is stored.

With dip-switch
OFF
(1) the actuator performs the

or first installation procedure
implementing the operating and end of stroke parameters.
