The
Relay unit - DIN rail
makes it possible to integrate additional relays in
the video entryphone system for controlling generic electric loads and an
additional electro-lock.
Each relay unit is equipped with:
• 4 NO (OUT 1...OUT 4) relay outputs, each for maximum loads of 10 A - 250
Vac,
• 4 inputs (IN1...IN4) for the local control of the relay outputs
• 1 output (EL OUT) for the electro-lock,
• 1 input (IN5) for the local control of the electro-lock,
• 1 input (EL IN) for detecting the opening status of the electro-lock.
The outputs can be activated from the apartment units or using the push-
buttons connected to the inputs. The contact closure time is timed, for
each individual output, by rotary selectors.
The impulse discharge output for the electro-lock can also be used to
control an electro-lock with self-closure (the maintenance current makes
it possible to keep the door open until the time set with the rotary selector
has passed).
If the electro-lock has a normally open sensor (NO) that detects its
opening status, connecting it to the relay unit input makes it possible
to receive a door open alarm at the apartment unit, if enabled, when it
remains open for more than 5 minutes.
The device LEDs provide information about the power supply, connection
to the video entryphone system and the status of the relay contacts. For
additional information see the
In service
paragraph.
The relay unit can be powered by the Ethernet switch (GW 18 371) via the
PoL LAN port (Power over LAN, device power supply via the LAN cable) or,
alternatively, by an audio/video power supply (GW 18 361 or GW 18 362).
The two power supply sources may coexist.
The relay unit, with 4 DIN modules, can be installed in any board or distri-
bution box with a DIN rail.
