SOUND COMBINATION (4HAND MODE)
Your digital piano can be set to the so-called 4Hand Mode. This mode splits the keyboard
into two so that for example teacher and student can play simultaneously in the same
octave range. The sound of the left keyboard zone is automatically transposed up by
2 octaves while the sound of the right keyboard zone is transposed down by 2 octaves.
To use the 4Hand Mode, proceed as follows:
1. Press the Split softbutton and then the 4Hand softbutton. Your keyboard
is split into two zones which are set as explained.
2. By using the cursor keys, select a sound for each keyboard zone
(-> page 18).
3. Start playing. You will hear one sound for each zone as described.
If you want to make further adjustments, proceed as follows:
4. Press the Menu softbutton. Navigate through the following settings and
adjust them as desired by using the cursor keys:
•
Split Point:
Here you can define the point where the keyboard is
to be split.
•
Balance:
Here you can change the volume ratio between the two
selected sounds.
•
R_Octave Shift:
With this function, you can transpose the sound
chosen for the right side of the split keyboard up or down by 1, 2
or 3 octaves.
•
L_Octave Shift:
With this function, you can transpose the sound
chosen for the left side of the split keyboard up or down by 1, 2 or
3 octaves.
5. Use the Exit softbutton to leave the menu.
6. Press the Exit softbutton again to deactivate the 4Hand Mode and to
