Lubrication
It is not necessary to lubricate the Gesswein Belt Sander.
Cleaning
It may be necessary on occasion to blow accumulated dirt and grit away from the
area surrounding the Drive Pulley. This can be facilitated by first removing the
Protection Cover (squeeze sides with thumb and forefinger to remove).
When external surfaces of your Belt Sander become dirty, use a cloth slightly
saturated with a neutral cleaning liquid. Do not use volatile liquids such as paint
thinner or alcohol.

Maintenance
Changing the Belt Arm
To change Belt Arms, you must first remove the belt that is in place on the Belt
Arm (see General Use). Once the belt has been removed, pull the Belt Arm out
of the Belt Sander main body (see fig. 4) and replace with selected Belt Arm and
appropriate belt.
Changing Arm Pads
If the Belt Arm Support Pad requires changing, remove the worn pad from the
Belt Arm, and replace with a new Belt Arm Support Pad by removing the self-ad-
hesive backing and placing in the same position.
Changing Belt Arm Pulley
To replace the Belt Arm Pulley, unfasten the Belt Arm Screw (see fig. 5) located on
the top of the Belt Arm. Gently spread the two plates sufficiently apart to remove
the old pulley, and replace with a new one. Securely refasten the Belt Arm Screw.
