7.2 Restoring to Factory Default Settings
If for any reason the camera is not responding correctly, you can reset it to its factory default
setting by using the camera’s Web interface or by operating directly on the camera.
7.2.1 Using the Web Interface
1.
On the Web interface, go to
System Settings
.
2.
In the left menu of Web interface, select
Management
and click
Tools
.
3. Under
the
Device Settings
tab, click the
Default
button to restore the factory default
settings, and the current IP address of the camera will be kept.
4.
To restore the camera and its IP address to factory default settings, select
Restore All
Default Setting Without Keeping Current IP Address
and click
Default
.
7.2.2 Directly on the Camera
1.
Keep the power and network cables (or PoE) connected to the camera.
2.
Press and hold the
Default
button on the camera body. The status LED blinks. This
shall take about 8 seconds.

3. Release
the
Default
button when the status LED stops blinking. The process of loading
default settings is completed and the camera reboots automatically.
