3-4 8 Replacement of Integrated Chin/Nape Strap Assembly

• Thin, flexible metal spatula

Flat-tip screwdriver

•

Torque screwdriver

• Optional:

Hook made from wire coat hanger

Procedure

1. Referring to

Figure 3-12

, do the following:

a. Remove the TPL or XLiner, and detach both earcups from the helmet.

Remove the screws, flat washers, lock washers, and T-nuts that attach the integrated

chin/nape assembly to the back of the helmet shell.

c. Withdraw the straps from the nape pad.
