Platform Overload Indicator Light
Light flashing indicates the
platform is overloaded and no
functions will operate.
Remove weight from the
platform until the light goes off.
Overload Recovery
If the ground controls LCD screen displays
OVERLOAD RECOVERY, the emergency lowering
system has been used while the platform was
overloaded. For information on how to reset this
message, please consult the appropriate Genie
Service Manual.
Out of Operational Envelope
Recovery
If all functions stop operating, you may have
exceeded the operational envelope.
Retract Boom indicator light is flashing: Use the
Auxiliary Power Unit at the platform to retract the
boom until the indicator light is off. Restart the
engine to continue operation.
Raise Boom indicator light is flashing: Use the
Emergency Power Unit at the platform to raise the
boom until the indicator light is off. Restart the
engine to continue operation.
If the Emergency Power Unit at the platform does
not function, a trained operator on the ground will
need to lower the platform from the ground controls.

After Each Use

Select a safe parking location—firm level
surface, clear of obstruction and traffic.

Retract and lower the boom to the stowed
position.
3
Rotate the turntable so that the boom is
between the non-steer wheels.
4
Turn the key switch to the off position and
remove the key to secure from unauthorized
use.
Machine Not Level Indicator Light
(if equipped)
If the tilt alarm sounds when the
platform is raised, the Machine
Not Level indicator light will
come and the drive function in
one or both directions will not
operate. Identify the condition of
the boom on the slope as shown
below. Follow the steps to lower
the boom before moving to a
firm, level surface. Do not rotate
the boom while lowering.
If the tilt alarm sounds with the
platform uphill:
1 Lower the boom.
2 Retract the boom.
If the tilt alarm sounds with the
platform downhill:

Lower the boom.

Retract the boom.
