Battery

Safety

Burn Hazards

Batteries contain acid.
Always wear protective
clothing and eye wear when
working with batteries.

Avoid spilling or contacting
battery acid. Neutralize

battery acid spills with baking
soda and water.

Explosion Hazards

Keep sparks, flames and
lighted tobacco away from
batteries. Batteries emit
explosive gas.

Electrocution Hazard

Avoid contact with electrical terminal.

During maintenance or repair works, and while
welding, disconnect the battery turning the cut-out
switch (see Inspection for Decals section).

After turning off the cut-out switch, wait for 60
seconds before starting the engine
