Operating Your Camera

Noise Reduction

The function reduces the background

noise in a low luminance environment.

• When the SETUP menu screen is

displayed, select <NR> using the

Function Setup switch so the

arrow indicates <NR>.
• Select a desired mode using the

Function Setup switch.
• Set the NR mode to <ON> and press

the Function Setup switch. You can

now adjust the noise reduction level.

2DNR :   Activates 2DNR so noise is reduced.
3DNR :   Activates 3DNR so noise is reduced.
LEVEL : Adjust noise reduction level
SMART NR: Activates & Deactivates 2DNR & 3DNR
automatically depending on the environment.

When adjusting the noise reduction level in NR mode, remember the higher

the level is set, the greater the reduction in noise level will be; and also the

brightness of the image.
