by entering the clerk number 

You can sell an item by keying in the price followed by the 

relevant department key placed on the keyboard. 

Note

: this is a quick way of entering products for which   

departmental only reporting is required 

The price keyed in will register and appear on the display, when 

the same item is subsequently scanned, it will be described as 

stationery with a price of 45 pence
