Operating the DVI KVM over IP
If DHCP mode is not desired, the
DVI KVM over IP
can also be set to
Auto IP mode
or
Static IP mode.
In order to change the network options, both the Sender and Receiver unit
contain a built-in Web interface. Changing the network settings may also be necessary
when using multiple Sender and Receiver units.
Accessing the Web Interface
1. Connect an Ethernet cable from a computer to the network on which the
DVI KVM over IP
is connected.
2. Identify the IP address of both the Sender and Receiver unit. This can be done by
viewing the display, during the linking process.
If the Sender and Receiver units are already displaying a picture and the IP addresses
are not known, switch the video channel on the Receiver unit to display the IP
information. See
Setting the Video Channel
for information on how to switch
the video channel.
3. Launch a Web browser and type in the IP address of the Sender unit.
NOTE:
When configuring the Sender and Receiver units, there is
no particular order in which each unit needs to be configured.
