6 Cleaning and Maintenance
After larger print efforts, depending on the paper quality
and adverse environmental conditions, it may be
necessary to clean the print head, sensor and the
platen roll, especially, if some areas are no longer
printed properly.
1. To open the printer place the printer on the paper
insert side and press the metal profile upwards. The
housing should easily open.
2. Blow forcefully into printer mechanism and onto
position mark sensor (10), in order to remove coarse
dust.
On principle the printer has to be kept dust-free.
4. Use a small brush to clean paper carrier roll, sensor
and tear-off edge from dirt.
5. Soak Q-tip in isopropanol (IPA) and clean the print
bar. Other stubborn debris can also be removed
with a Q-tip
Never use sharp objects for cleaning. This might
cause damage print head. Do not touch the print
head. This might cause damage through electrosta-
tic charge.
