MIDI FUNCTION
The SDP-4 comes complete with two MIDI
connection points.
1. USB
2. MIDI OUT
Connect the Instrument MIDI OUT terminal with
a standard MIDI cable to either your computer or
to an external audio source using a MIDI IN jack.
This allows you to transmit data from one device to
another.
CONTROLLER SETTINGS
1. MIDI CONTROLLER MODE
To enter MIDI controller mode press and hold
[SHIFT] and press [MIDI MODE]. When engaged
the [MIDI MODE] LED indicator will light up.
2. CONTROLLER EDIT MODE
To enter controller edit mode press [MIDI EDIT].
When engaged the [MIDI EDIT] LED indicator will
light up.
3. CONTROLLER SELECT
In the controller edit mode press one of the
[CTRL-1]-[CTRL-3] buttons to individually edit the
selected controller. For example, press [CTRL-1]
to enter controller 1 edit. When engaged the
relevant LED indicator lights up and the screen
will display a command value. From here you’ll
be able to edit the parameters.
4. COMMAND SETTINGS
In the MIDI controller edit mode press
[COMMAND] and the screen will display the
corresponding command value. From here you’ll
be able to directly set the command value by
pressing the assigned keys in the MIDI section
to the desired function. You’ll find that there are
a total of 130 MIDI control commands (000-130)
and the default value is 001.
Please Note: Always use three digits when
using the assigned key(s) to select the desired
command value. For example, press and hold the
[SHIFT] button, then tap 0,6,4 in sequence to set
the command value 64.
