Replacing Seals
Insertion tool
Requirement
Insert the V-rings/VR-rings without grease. To facilitate fitting, use water with a drop
of washing-up liquid to remove the surface tension. In order that no rust is trans-
ferred, the washing-up liquid solution must be made up in a ceramic, plastic, or
stainless steel container.
Tools required:
Use the insertion tool to fit the V-ring.
Replacing the
V-ring
CAUTION
The scriber can slip off when the V-ring is removed.
Danger of injury!
Grip the valve disk in a vice with protected jaws.
Unscrew the curved side of the scriber.
Carry out the following steps:
1.
Put a scriber into the V-ring and take it out.
2.
Before fitting, wet the V-ring on the side not in contact with product (rear side). Pay
attention that water does not drip into the V-ring groove on the valve disk.
3.
Put in the V-ring. Make sure the installation position of the V-ring is correct (see illus-
tration).
