Operational Software Description

1

Dark-on-Dark Enable

When this bit is set high (1), the port’s transmitter will be automatically turned OFF if
the port’s receiver does not detect a signal.  The dark-on-dark feature is useful in
hub-to-hub configurations.  This feature redirects an open path into smaller closed
loops.  This ensures that no open loops will occur due to LOS.

The following procedure is used to enable the ports after ‘Dark’-ness:
