MECHANICAL
While the RSS-131ER is a portable device, it may also be permanently mounted in any
orientation with suitably designed brackets and is not sensitive to detector orientation.
Generally, the RSS-131ER will be mounted with the cable connectors facing down. The
integral mounting flange on the “top” surface of the enclosure is compatible with tripod-type
mounting systems, and will accept #10”-24 machine threaded screws or bolts. Grounding of
the RSS-131ER is accomplished at a grounding point on the mounting flange by means of a
screw and lockwasher. This screw is identified by a grounding symbol
sticker with the symbol
. In normal operation, grounding of the unit is not required.
Consult local electrical codes or normative references.
