System Setup: High Security

High Security

The Pharma and HIGH SECURITY options appear only if the device 
has been configured as a Pharma device.

High Security provides the option of password-protecting use of the MAC 
1200 unit. Any device configured with the Pharma option may enable the 
High Security option. 

„

The High Security option of the MAC 1200 is password-protected. 
Please refer to the MAC 1200 Service manual for access information.

„

When the High Security option is enabled, users must provide 
information for the technician name field. This requirement defaults 
to Yes (on), but it can be turned off in the Enable High Security 
Features menu.

Use the cursor keys to position the bar cursor on HIGH SECURITY and 

confirm the selection with 

. Press 

 again to enter the setup 

menu for the High Security option. The setup menu for the High Security 
option will appear.

The High Security options available on the MAC 1200 unit are:

Device Password

„

Don’t allow record edits? 

„

Delete only after transmission?

„

Force Technician Name?

Device Password

When enabled, the Device Password high security option requires users 
to enter a password when the MAC 1200 unit is powered on. The unit 
cannot be used if the Device Password is not entered correctly.

The default value for Device Password? is No.
