PAC8000 Workbench Getting Started Guide 

 

2. The 

Map Remote Device Points

3.  Before points can be added, the device must be precisely defined. Enter the 

appropriate information into the following fields. 

• 

Device Name

 – The name you are giving to the device. 

• 

Remote Device Node No

. – The Modbus address of the remote device.  

• 

Scan Rate

 – The frequency at which each remote tag is written to or read 

from. 

• 

Controller Port

 – The port that is used by the controllers to communicate 

with the remote device. This can be one of two serial ports on the controller 
or over TCP. If TCP is used, the Remote IP address must contain the IP
