Write-Update Message Box
When making changes to the VDSL link or to the Ethernet configuration the “Write & Update” dialog box
will appear (see Figure 30)

Pressing “OK” causes the following actions:

If a VDSL link is established the Bridge Manager changes all registers in the remote modem (via the
VOC) and then the registers in the local modem.
•
If no VDSL link is established the changes are only applied to the local modem. Pressing “CANCEL”
closes the box without changes.
Error - Hardware does not respond
If on startup an error is reported by the pop up box shown in Figure 31 please proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that the serial connection between the modem and PC is OK.
2. Make sure that the modem is connected to the selected COM port (see
Startup dialog section ).
3. Press ’RETRY’
