One needs to preconfigure the dash cam before using it. By default
(factory settings), all main parameters are set to optimal values.
Nonetheless, one still needs to set the exact time and date. This is
required for further analysis of recorded video files.
• Without connecting the dash cam to power supply and having
made sure that all indicators are off, insert the memory card in the
slot. The memory card is inserted pins towards the display.
• Connect the dash cam power unit to the 12-24 V car charger and
turn on the dash cam power supply. On power-on, the dash cam
automatically switches to the recording mode, so you will see real-
time image from the camera on power-on (confidence channel) and
the recording indicator.
Preparing dash cam
Advice: Place the dash cam as high as possible (DASH CAM
body being near the back mirror or behind it) so that the lens
is directed slightly down at a horizontal angle of approximately
15°. Video recordings from the dash cam placed lower (on the
torpedo or slightly above) do not provide complete information
about the road situation because they do not record the front
part of the car, so there is no point of reference. If the dash
cam is placed in parallel to the road or at an upward angle, the
recordings will be significantly darkened.
