Umbilical Catheterization

1.

Remove the umbilical plug to fill
the umbilical cord with fluid.

2.

Using the fill kit syringe, inject the
umbilical vein with 2 mL of fluid.

3.

Lubricate an umbilical catheter
before catheterizing.

4.

Catheterize with the recommended size as
suggested in section 3.6. The recommended
size is 6 Fr Umbilical Catheter.
