SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section. Further
information on processing your food is given in section ‘Tips for Best Results’.
Problem Possible Reason The Easy Solution
Emergency shut-off
required. Unplug the appliance.
The appliance does not
respond, when turning a
control dial. The heating
indicator remains dark and
the grilling area remains
cold. The appliance is not live. Please check:
• Is the appliance connected to the power supply?
• Is the power outlet live?
• When using an extension cord: check the extension
cord for proper operation (e.g. by connecting a lamp).
The appliance is still swit-
ched OFF. At the rear of the appliance, switch the power switch to
the “I” position. Then try again.
The grilling plate is not
mounted correctly. Completely switch off and unplug the appliance. Ensure
that the grilling plate lies stably and even on the housing.
There may be no gap between the grilling plate and the
aluminium top plate of the housing.
The pins of the connectors
at the grilling plate or the
sockets in the housing are
polluted or corroded. Completely switch off and unplug the appliance. Remo-
ve the grilling plate and check the electrical connectors
at the bottom of the grilling plate. Check, whether any
foreign objects are in the sockets in the housing. They
must be completely smooth, clean and without any dis-
colouration.
However, do not attempt to repair
the electrical parts. Do not attempt to ope-
rate the appliance, with the connectors cor-
rupted in any way!
If required, get in contact with
your vendor for examination and repair.
Malfunction occurred. Immediately unplug the appliance and return the appli-
ance to an authorized service centre for examination and
repair.
You cannot push the dra-
wer completely into the
console. The drip tray is not
inserted correctly. Ensure to insert the drip tray in correct orientation. The
drip tray may not stick out of the drawer. Turn the drip
tray by 180° and try again.
