OPERATION
WARNING:
Always ensure that the appliance and all its parts and accessories,
especially the frothing magnet, are out of reach of young children.
The appliance is
intended for heating beverages and frothing milk via contact-less operated systems.
Do not attempt to heat the milk jug via any other device than the dedicated power
base. Do not fill in any foreign objects or foreign liquids to avoid injuries and dama-
ge due to overheating, fire, electric shock, and high temperatures. Improper use or
misuse may cause severe injuries and damage. Unplug the appliance and leave it
cool down completely, before moving or cleaning the appliance, and when the
appliance is not in use. Do not leave the power base unattended while connected
to the power supply. Always unplug the power base when the appliance is not in
use. Do not use violence.
Ensure to place the appliance on a level, flat, stable, and dry surface. For operation,
do not place the appliance near the edge of the working space or on inclined sur-
faces. Do not operate the appliance on a metal surface to avoid high risk of electric
shock, when overflow or splashing occurs.
If liquids run out during operation, immediately unplug the appliance (see: ‚Solving
Problems‘).Before operation, always fill a sufficient amount of liquid into the milk jug
(at least 300ml / MIN). However, do not fill in more than the maximum amount
(300ml for frothing, 600ml for heating). Otherwise, hot liquid may splash out and/
or run into the power base, causing risk of overheating and electric shock. Always
remove the milk jug from the power base for filling the milk jug. Always ensure to hold
the milk jug level, when it is filled. Always place the milk jug correctly filled onto the
power base and insert the frothing rod before starting the appliance. Always rinse
the frothing rod immediately after each use to avoid that any residues of beverages
dry on the frothing magnet.
PREPARING THE FROTHING ROD
If you wish to add solid ingredients (e.g. pieces of chocolate), the chocolate basket
must be installed on the frothing rod to avoid that the frothing magnet gets stuck.
If your recipe only demands liquid ingredients or finely crystalline ingredients (e.g.
cocoa powder, spices, caster sugar, or salt), the chocolate basket is not required.
• To disassemble the chocolate basket: Pull the retaining tool and chocolate basket
from one another to loosen the chocolate basket. Then lift the chocolate basket up to
remove it from the shaft of the frothing rod.
• To assemble the chocolate basket: Place the frothing rod in upright position on a
table. Then, with the large opening facing downwards, put the chocolate basket onto
the shaft of the frothing rod and gently push it down, until it engages on the retaining
tool with a click.
