OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place the power base on the designated working place near an appropriate wall
power outlet. Leave at least 20 cm of free space to the edge of the workspace
and any other objects (see: ‘General Safety Instructions’)
2. Remove the milk jug from the power base and remove the lid.
3. Fill the desired amount of liquid and ingredients into the milk jug. Ensure that the
filling level is between MIN (300ml) and MAX (600ml). Always keep the milk
jug level, when it is filled.
For frothing milk via the frothing button ( ) or using the chocolate function ( ) wit-
hout the chocolate basket, you should always fill in 300ml to get the best results
and avoid overflow due to the generated froth.
If you wish to prepare hot milk or hot chocolate using the chocolate basket, you
may fill in from 300ml to 600ml (see: ‘Properties of Your New Milk Frother’).
IMPORTANT:
To avoid damage to the power base, keep the exterior of the milk
jug clean and dry, when placing the milk jug on the power base..
4. Ensure that the exterior of the milk jug is clean and dry and place the milk jug
onto the power base. Place the frothing rod into the milk jug.
5. If you have installed the chocolate basket, you may add larger pieces of ingre-
dients (e.g. pieces of chocolate) now.
6. If your recipe requires the addition of further, finely ground ingredients, leave the
lid open and hold these ingredients at hand. Otherwise, close the lid.
7. Connect the appliance to the power supply. A beep sounds with all function but-
tons flashing. The STOP button will be illuminated continuously. The appliance is
now ready for operation (standby mode).
WARNING:
The milk jug and upper part of the power base may get hot during
operation. Only touch the appliance at the operating elements and handle. Do not
hold your face, hands, or other parts of your body, or any delicate objects over the
milk jug during operation.
