Move the appliance away from the edge of the workspace.
Via the handle,
pull the filter at the bottom of the water tank upwards and out. Clean the filter
via a soft brush unter running tap water.
6. Wipe the water tank via a soft, clean cloth moistend with a solution of some
white vinegar, a droplet of dishwashing agent and clear drinking water. Tho-
roughly wipe with clear water and dry the interior of the water tank for removing
any residues of the cleaning solution. Ensure that there is no odour of vinegar
left. Replace the filter and push it down gently until it settles stably. Fill the water
tank with at least 1 litre of clear drinking water, ensuring that the water does not
run out at the bottom of the appliance.
CAUTION
– Do not attempt to operate the appliance, while the water sys-
tem is leaking to avoid risk of over-heating and electric shock.
STARTING THE CLEANING FUNCTION
Insert the plug into the power outlet and press the selection button
until the func-
tion indicator of the cleaning function
illuminates. Press the power button for
starting the cleaning function. Water is pumped through the ice producing system
for approx. 6 minutes. Thereafter, the appliance returns to the standby mode auto-
matically (operation indicator
flashes).
7. Empty the water tank as described above (step 5 and 6). Wipe the water tank
again via a clean cloth and clear water. Replace the ice container.
8. Clean the power cord, and exterior of the appliance via a slightly damp cloth
that does not drip. Wipe dry. Thereafter, the appliance may be used again.
9. When you do not wish to use the appliance again for an elongated period of
time, please adhere to the following instructions (see: ‘Storage’).
