If you use the motorcycle in winter, salt can be expected on the roads. You should therefore take precautions
against aggressive road salt.
If the vehicle has been used on salted roads, use cold water for cleaning after riding. Warm water enhances the cor-
rosive effects of salt.

without removing them, with cold water and dry them care-
fully.

with cold water and dry it well.

Treat engine, link fork, and all other bare or zinc-plated parts (except
the brake discs) with a wax-based corrosion inhibitor.

discs as this would greatly reduce the braking force.
